How We Handle Privacy
Read this page to learn which pieces of information LightXtreme VPN picks up when you browse the website, run the apps or subscribe to the service, what those pieces are used for, and how you can take control of them. Our approach is deliberately modest: gather the minimum a VPN actually needs, make no deals with your information, and announce any change to this policy on the website.
1. The data we hold
Details tied to your account
Signing up or paying for a plan leads us to store your email address, the order and payment trail, how many devices your plan covers and when the plan runs out, and those records are what let us recognise your account, switch the service on and support you properly afterwards.
What the client logs
So that connections remain steady and so that faults can be traced, the client keeps temporary connection logs covering items such as the node identifier, the length of the connection and any error codes. Those logs hold no browsing content, no passwords and no history of what you looked at, and they are never used to work out your browsing habits.
Details about your visits
Every visit to the site hands us technical details including browser type, device model, language, the referring page and the time of arrival, which feed our traffic statistics and help pages behave better. A third-party statistics script may use a cookie to count visits, and clearing or blocking cookies in your browser stops that at any time.
2. Putting that data to work
The purposes behind all of this are few and concrete: opening and maintaining your subscription, carrying out encrypted connections and protecting their quality, answering refunds and support cases, stopping misuse and fraud, and making the product and the website better.
Your personal information is never sold, and it is never used to build advertising profiles or marketing lists, apart from cases the law demands, cases you have authorised yourself, and cases needed to complete a payment that you initiated.
3. Outside partners
Payments are handled by partners including Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay, credit cards, PayPal, Google Play and Stripe, and whatever you submit at checkout is handled by them under their own privacy terms. The client reaches servers we run so the service can work, your traffic passes inside an encrypted tunnel, and the people operating those nodes have no visibility of the pages you load.
Encryption on the way through
Everything in transit is protected with Shadowsocks, Vless and WireGuard encryption together with algorithms such as AES-256-GCM, and the account operations you perform between website and client are carried over HTTPS too.
4. How long we keep things, and your say
Your account and plan records live for the length of the service and a limited period afterwards to meet support and compliance needs, while connection logs disappear quickly once they have served their troubleshooting purpose. Write to the service email if you would like your data exported, corrected or erased, and after an account is closed the related personal information is deleted or made anonymous within a reasonable time.
Under-18 users
This service is intended for adults. Anyone who has not reached the legal age of majority in their country should read this policy alongside a guardian and only use the service with that guardian's agreement.
Revisions to this policy
As the product develops we may adjust this policy, and each new version is published here on the website. Staying with LightXtreme VPN means accepting the policy in force at the time.
